Falgi Park is situated right in the middle of Kassisaba, between Wismari, A. Adamsoni, and Toompuiestee. It is a children’s playground with benches and picknick areas, and lovely big trees all around. There is also an indoor stadium on Wismari street, managed by a football club TJK Legion.
Right across the street from Falgi Park is one of the dendroparks of Tallinn, called Hirvepark. Situated right below Toompea and Linda’s Hill, it forms a unique ensemble with the latter, offering views of the old lime-stone wall of the Swedish bastion and stairs. The park is rich with a variety of 102 types of trees, and various sculptures.
The largest park in the area is Toompark, which surrounds the Schnelli pond along the base of Toompea hill. Schnelli pond is the only remnant of the ancient protective moat around the city. The park was constructed already in 1920s. Patkuli stairs that lead you from the park all the way up to Toompea hill were built in 1903.
In addition to these large parks, Kassisaba is full of smaller and larger green areas, which make it feel like living in a suburb instead of the city centre.
